Orgasol® powder in composites and structural adhesives

Orgasol® powder can help avoid delamination in interlayered carbon fiber/epoxy composites and improve strength in structural adhesives.

Crack propagation at the epoxy resin/carbon fiber interface reduce strength of fiber-reinforces laminates. To solve the problem, Orgasol® powder can be used as a toughening agent to limit the crack propagation in the resin inter-laminar region and at the epoxy resin/carbon fiber interface.

Due to its narrow and controlled particle size distribution, Orgasol® powder also maintains the thickness of the inter-laminar region during the process that builds the composite structure.

Orgasol® powder also helps limit cracks propagation in the structural adhesive improving their mechanical strength.

Structural adhesives also take advantage of this Orgasol® powder property that copes with cracks propagation.
